Molasses
A valuable by-product of sugar production is molasses, the chemical composition of which contains many useful substances, which ensures its full participation in the economy. It serves as the main raw material for the production of baker’s yeast. According to the technological regulations flow of molasses in the production of 1 ton of yeast is about 1,5 m, and the total annual demand for molasses for yeast production – 250-260 thousand tons. In addition, sugar beet molasses – the raw material for the production of feed amino acids lysine and methionine.
The technology is based on microbiological synthesis CORYNEBACTERIUM culturing bacteria.
In addition, molasses is widely used as an additive to animal feed, for the enrichment of dried bagasse, and for alcohol, food acids, lysine, and others products. Value as a molasses feed based on its high content in the composition of sucrose.
Molasses is used for making animal feed, mixtures with other feeds, primarily of straw. The dry matter molasses contains up to 58% of sugar, and 100 kg of molasses – feed units 77 and 4,5 kg of digestible protein.

The benefits of adding to the feed molasses

• obtaining an economical high quality food;
• nutritious protein compensation shortage of green fodder;
• Improving the taste of raw food;
• increase in milk yield and fat content;
• balancing the nutrient ratio in the feed;
• oats savings and prevention of colic in horses;
• savings shredded corn, vegetable and grain feed fattening pigs;
• prevention of diseases caused by the lack of trace elements;
• bridging the gap in the natural agricultural circuit: field-food-animal-manure-field and the associated better utilization of manure, as mineral compounds, minerals and other substances are returned to the soil.
